OCT4, Ki-67 and VEGF as Prognostic Factors in Endometrial Carcinoma and Their Role in The Differentiation between Atypical Endometrial Hyperplasia and Grade 1 Endometrial Carcinoma: an Immunohistochemical study

چکیده
Background: Endometrial carcinoma develops through preliminary stages of endometrial hyperplasia. A population epithelial stem cells was identified in the human endometrium, these may serve as a source putative carcinoma. The most important member cancer cell markers is OCT-4. Both tumor proliferation (Ki-67) and angiogenesis seem to be for development aggressive tumors. Aim Work: This study aimed evaluate expression OCT4, Ki-67 VEGF hyperplasia differentiate between grade 1 atypical hyperplasia. Materials Methods: 60 cases 60 were stained by Ki-67and immunohistochemical markers. Results: OCT-4 significantly increased with advanced stage (P value = 0.001, 0.044) respectively. There also significant association 0.0016, 0.049) 0.001) both. As regards correlation results versus cases, marker relation. Conclusion: OCT-4, expressions showed positive pathological parameters. labelling index can used differentiation atypia

Prognostic factors in endometrial carcinoma.
Endometrial carcinoma is the third most common carcinoma of the female genital tract in Singapore. Although most endometrial carcinomas are detected while still at low stage, there is still a significant mortality from the disease. It is desirable that patients at high risk of relapse are identified early for consideration for additional treatment. Some information required for management can b...
متن کاملContribution of nuclear morphometric features to differentiation of atypical complex type endometrial hyperplasia and low grade endometrial carcinoma
Objective: The differentiation of atypical complex type endometrial hyperplasia (ACEH) and low grade endometrial carcinoma (EC) may be problematic in endometrial biopsy materials. Desmoplasia and stromal invasion are diagnostic for EC but they are not always demonstrated in endometrial biopsies. In this study, we investigated the contribution of nuclear morphometry to distinction of ACEH and lo...
متن کاملP53 Expression in Endometrial Hyperplasia and Endometrial Carcinoma
Background and Objectives: Mutations of the P53 tumor suppressor gene and alterations in its protein expression often occur in a variety of human malignant tumors, including endometrial carcinoma, but the practical implications of this phenomenon are yet to be fully exploited. This study was designed to evaluate P53 protein expression in normal, hyperplastic and malignant endometrium by immunoh...
متن کاملPINCH protein expression in normal endometrium, atypical endometrial hyperplasia and endometrioid endometrial carcinoma.
BACKGROUND Particularly interesting new cysteine-histidine rich protein (PINCH), as an adapter protein of the LIM family for signal transduction in the integrin and growth factor pathway, is upregulated in the stroma of several common types of cancers and involved in promoting tumor progression. In the present study, we examined PINCH expression in normal endometrium, atypical endometrial hyper...
متن کاملEvaluation of HER2/neu Expression in High-Grade Endometrial Carcinoma and Its Clinicopathological Correlation
Background & Objective: Endometrial carcinoma (EC) has been traditionally classified into two distinct categories of low-grade and high-grade. Type I (low grade) EC, which constitutes the majority of cases, is linked to estrogen-related molecular pathways. But type II (high-grade) EC accounts for 10-20% of cases and behaves in an aggressive way. Pathologic and biological featur...
